Full Timeline from Application to Counselling and Seat Allotment
JCECEB typically opens the JCECE application window in late April each year and conducts the written exam in mid-June. JCECEB's academic calendar depends partly on when Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) and CBSE declare Class 12 results, since provisional applications are sometimes accepted before final marksheets are available. Monsoon-related centre logistics in districts like Dumka, Hazaribagh, and Chaibasa can also push exam or counselling dates by a week or two. Always treat month-level estimates as indicative until the official bulletin is published.
Based on the JCECE 2025 pattern (exam held June 15, 2025), JCECE 2026 is expected around mid-June 2026, though the exact date will be confirmed in the official Information Bulletin.
Yes, JCECEB's JEE Main-based engineering counselling for most B.Tech branches runs on its own schedule, generally after JoSAA rounds conclude, independent of the JCECE exam date.
JCECEB rarely extends deadlines; in some years a short extension of 2-5 days has been granted, but candidates should not rely on this and should apply well before the stated last date.
