Since MP DTE Has No Written Test, There Is No MP DTE-Specific Answer Key
MP DTE does not release an answer key because it does not conduct a written examination. Any "answer key" relevant to a candidate's MP DTE admission chances is entirely the JEE Main provisional and final answer key released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), not anything issued by the Madhya Pradesh DTE.
• NTA releases a provisional answer key along with candidate response sheets a few days after each JEE Main session, opening a challenge/objection window where candidates can contest specific answers on payment of a per-question fee.
• After review, NTA releases the final answer key, which is used to compute the final JEE Main scores and percentiles that then feed directly into MP DTE Round 1 merit computation.
• Candidates should self-assess their likely JEE Main score using the final answer key to get a realistic sense of their MP DTE Round 1 prospects well before the official percentile/rank is declared.
Any grievance about a specific question's correctness must be raised through the JEE Main/NTA objection process, not through DTE Madhya Pradesh, since DTE has no authority over the underlying test content or scoring. Once JEE Main results are finalized by NTA, that score is treated as final and authoritative for MP DTE Round 1 purposes.
Once the JEE Main final answer key is released, candidates can calculate their exact raw score and cross-check it against historical percentile-to-score conversion data to form an early, reasonably informed estimate of their likely MP DTE Round 1 prospects — well before NTA's official percentile declaration and well before MP DTE registration even opens. This early estimate is valuable for beginning realistic college-branch research (see the College Predictor section) rather than waiting until the last moment to start planning.
Candidates relying on the Class 12 board-marks track have no equivalent "answer key" concept at all, since board exams are evaluated through standard subjective marking by the respective board (CBSE, MP Board, or others) rather than an objective, key-based MCQ format. For this track, the relevant reference point is simply the declared board result itself, with no intermediate self-assessment mechanism comparable to an answer key.
| Process | Relevant Authority | Answer Key / Result Mechanism |
|---|---|---|
| JEE Main (Primary Track) | National Testing Agency (NTA) | Provisional + Final answer key with objection window, then percentile declared |
| Class 12 Boards (Secondary Track) | Respective State/National Board (CBSE, MP Board, etc.) | No answer key concept; subjective evaluation, final marksheet declared |
| MP DTE Counselling Itself | Directorate of Technical Education, MP | No exam-related document; only round-wise allotment results |
No, since MP DTE conducts no written exam; the relevant answer key process belongs entirely to JEE Main, administered by NTA.
Through the official JEE Main answer key challenge window on the NTA's JEE Main portal, since that score determines MP DTE Round 1 eligibility.
No, DTE MP has no authority over JEE Main content, scoring, or the answer key process; it only uses the final JEE Main score for counselling.
