Understanding Document Verification Slips and Allotment Letters in Place of a Traditional Hall Ticket
Since MP DTE conducts no written examination, there is no traditional "admit card" or "hall ticket" in the conventional entrance-exam sense. The documents that functionally matter at each stage of the MP DTE process are different: a registration confirmation slip, a document verification acknowledgment, and — most importantly — the seat allotment letter generated after each counselling round.
| Document | When Generated | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Registration Confirmation Slip | Immediately after successful registration and fee payment | Proof of successful registration for the counselling cycle |
| Document Verification Slip / Acknowledgment | After document upload/verification stage | Confirms uploaded documents have been reviewed and accepted |
| Choice Filling Confirmation | After locking preferences for a round | Confirms the final locked choice list for that round |
| Seat Allotment Letter | After each round's result is declared | Official document confirming allotted college, branch, and category status — required for reporting/admission |
While MP DTE itself issues no admit card, candidates should retain their original JEE Main admit card and scorecard from the national exam, since these are typically required as supporting documents during MP DTE document verification and at final admission reporting to the allotted college.
Upon receiving a seat allotment letter, candidates are usually required to report — either physically at the allotted college or through an online reporting portal, depending on the year's process — carrying the allotment letter alongside original academic and category documents for final verification before the admission is confirmed.
• Create a single folder (physical and digital) containing your JEE Main admit card and scorecard, Class 10/12 certificates, category and domicile certificates, and every MP DTE stage-wise document, well before registration opens.
• Keep at least two physical printed copies of your seat allotment letter for each round you are allotted, since some colleges require submission of an original copy during physical reporting.
• Verify that names, dates of birth, and other identity details are consistent across all documents — even minor spelling mismatches between your JEE Main records and board certificates can cause delays during verification.
No, since there is no written exam conducted by MP DTE; instead, candidates receive registration confirmation slips, document verification acknowledgments, and round-wise seat allotment letters.
