Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering • Conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University)
How and When Results are Announced, and What the Scorecard Shows
AEEE results are declared separately after each phase, with a consolidated merit rank list released after Phase 2 concludes, combining the better performance of each candidate across both phases.
Phase 1 results are typically declared within one to two weeks of the last Phase 1 exam date, generally around early February. Phase 2 results follow the same pattern, usually declared in mid-to-late May, shortly after which the consolidated All India Rank (AIR) list is published.
• Step 1: Visit the official AEEE portal and log in using your application number and date of birth/password.
• Step 2: Navigate to the "Result" or "Scorecard" section.
• Step 3: View and download your scorecard, which displays your raw score and AEEE rank.
Candidate's name and application number; phase-wise raw score out of 300; the better of the two phase scores (if both attempted); overall AEEE All India Rank; and category-wise rank (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, where applicable).
For candidates who attempt both Phase 1 and Phase 2, Amrita automatically considers the higher of the two scores for final rank computation — there is no need to manually request this, and attempting both phases carries no risk of a worse outcome since the lower score is simply disregarded.
Since both phases test the same syllabus and pattern but are conducted on different dates with different question sets, Amrita applies statistical measures internally to ensure fairness across sets within a phase, though the exact normalization methodology (if any is applied across Phase 1 vs Phase 2 difficulty) is not published publicly in detail.
An AEEE rank on its own means little without context — always cross-reference your rank against the previous year's closing ranks for your target branch-campus combinations (see the Cutoff tab) to gauge your realistic admission chances before counselling begins.
,If a candidate is unsatisfied with their Phase 1 result, the most productive option is to prepare further and attempt Phase 2, since Amrita's policy automatically uses the better of the two scores. There is no formal re-evaluation or re-checking process for CBT-based exams like AEEE, since responses are captured and scored electronically in real time, eliminating the scope for manual evaluation errors common in offline exams.
,Candidates applying through the JEE Main CRL route do not receive a separate "AEEE result" — instead, their JEE Main percentile/rank is directly used by Amrita's admission cell to place them in the 30% JEE-Main-route merit list, which runs in parallel to the AEEE-specific merit list during CSAP counselling.
,Always download and securely save a copy of your AEEE scorecard immediately after it is released, since it may be required at multiple later stages including CSAP registration and document verification at your allotted campus.
| Field | Example Description |
|---|---|
| Application Number | Unique ID assigned at registration |
| Candidate Name & Photograph | As per uploaded application details |
| Phase 1 Raw Score | Out of 300, if attempted |

After checking your result, verify that your name, application number, and category details are correctly reflected. Any factual discrepancy (such as an incorrect category tag) should be reported immediately through the official grievance channel, since this can materially affect your counselling eligibility for reserved-category seats.
Typically shortly after Phase 2 results are declared, around late May, combining the best score from either phase for each candidate.
